Camila Sánchez

SENIOR ASSOCIATE

Practice Areas: Competition

Lawyer from Universidad San Francisco de Quito, LL.M. from Georgetown University, and specialist in European and Spanish competition law from the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles in Madrid. Camila combines her strong academic background with a distinguished professional career in key areas of competition law, including merger control, cartel investigations, abuse of dominant position, and the design of preventive compliance programs tailored to the specific needs of each industry.

Thanks to her international experience working at the law firm Cuatrecasas in the Competition and European Union Department at the Madrid office, and her career as the first Ecuadorian female attorney to work at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Camila complements her practice with a global and sophisticated approach to analyzing and resolving complex competition law issues. Her work in these jurisdictions has allowed her to develop an in-depth understanding of European and U.S. regulations, as well as the ability to advise clients in international contexts.

Throughout her career, Camila has advised clients from various sectors, including consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, retail, agribusiness, transportation, construction, and technology. Her experience includes the notification and management of merger operations before key authorities such as the Superintendency of Economic Competition, Spain’s National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC), and the European Commission.
