Bernarda is a member of Bustamante Fabara’s litigation, arbitration and public law practices. Her practice focuses on civil, commercial, and administrative litigation, as well as domestic and international arbitration in highly regulated sectors. Bernarda also has experience in investment arbitration. She advises domestic and international clients on corporate, real estate and due diligence matters.

Bernarda holds an LL.M. from Georgetown University with a Certificate in Arbitration and Dispute Resolution. During her LL.M., she served as Vice President of the International Arbitration Association and as a research assistant at the Center for the Advancement for the Rule of Law in the Americas, an adjunct center of the university.

Bernarda is a member of the Ecuadorian Arbitration Institute, Young ITA, the Organizing Committee of the National Arbitration Competition (Ecuador) and Arbitration Alumni. Previously, she served as Ambassador of the Arbitrator Intelligence initiative for Latin America and as Coordinator of the Ecuadorian Institute of Arbitration and the Ecuadorian Journal of Arbitration.
