Gabriel specializes in Contract Law, Carriage of Goods by Sea and Air, Insurance and Arbitration. At present, his practice centers around insurance litigation and advising and counseling leading corporations of the Oil & Gas sector, both national and foreign.

He has extensive experience in contract drafting and negotiation, legal representation in commercial affairs, and consultancy to arbitration tribunals. Before joining Bustamante Fabara, he practiced as in house counsel of an important Oil & Gas retail company. Before taking that role, he served as solicitor and director of judicial affairs of the Customs Authority.

Gabriel teaches Contract Law and International Trade Law and participates in the LigaPro Disciplinary Committees administered by the Chamber of Commerce of Guayaquil. Currently he holds membership in the Ecuadorian Institute of Arbitration and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
