Gustavo advises national and international companies, with emphasis in the regulation of mining, oil & gas, energy, environmental law, concessions, and PPPs. Additionally, he provides strategic legal support for the regular operations of their businesses in Ecuador. In the oil & gas area, he has accumulated extensive experience in all phases of the industry. He worked as a lawyer in the largest oil and gas exploration and production company in Ecuador.

In the mining and energy area, he advises on project structuring, granting of enabling titles and regulatory compliance. He advises companies on concession bids and electricity generation and self-generation projects.

In addition, he has served as an adjunct professor of Administrative Law and has published academic articles.
